Let’s dive into the culinary highlights that have enchanted numerous patrons. From sumptuous dumplings filled with deer elk to the divine duck with smashed potatoes and baked apples, each dish tells a story of tradition and innovation. One guest, Anna Platkova, hailed the duck as “very soft” with generous portions that left an indelible mark on her palate. Similarly, the hot, flavorful bouillon associated with their soup struck a perfect note for those crisp autumn days.
Meat lovers will rejoice at the rib meat that melts in your mouth and the hearty pork chop, which some even prefer over its Austrian counterparts. Michal Makovník praised their zurek and found their second dishes of chicken and fish robust in flavor and ample in size. Indeed, this is a place where hearty portions are the norm, ensuring no one leaves with an empty stomach.
Moreover, Svetlana V. emphasized the bounteous servings that often challenge even the hungriest appetites, proving that Okno na Biebrze doesn’t just satisfy cravings; it delights and surprises. Whether you opt for the richly flavored rosol or the vibrant duck salad, each bite resonates with care and authenticity.

“ We were there in between of breakfast and lunch, so we were the only clients and waiting didn't take long. We took dumpling with deer elk, soup with duck dumplings ( more like bouillon) and duck with smashed potato and baked apples. Duck was very soft, a lot of meat in dumplings, flavoured hot bullion is the best what you need in Autumn. We liked everything! Probably the best place were we ate in Poland! ”
“ Excellent and delicious food. Zurek was top, rosol was good. Second dishes chicken and fish very nice and big portions. Waiting a bit more than ususal but was worth it. Aircondition is a bit strong inside. Recommend a visit. ”
“ This is a WONDERFUL restaurant! Hard to find from outside, but inside is a great looking interior. They have English menu AND waiters speak English well! (which isn't too common in Poland) And the food was amazing! Everything we ate was very tasty (hands down it was the BEST duck I have ever eaten (duck salad is big portion too!); rib meat was falling from bone; pork chop looked like schnitzel and was much tastier than in Austria!). Portions were very big. Amazing place, we will definatelly come back here when we travel! Thank You! <3 ”
“ Everything was very delicious. Extremely big portions! After soup I couldn't manage to eat my main course. Tasty food, nice stuff. Highly recommended! ”
“ I wouldn't choose this place from the outside. However, I'm glad we didn't pass it by. The food is very tasty and the prices are very friendly. ”
